VALENTINE DARMOIS
Valentine is an attorney at the Paris Bar.
After spending part of her childhood in the United States, where she learned English, which she speaks, writes and reads fluently, she studied in London at King's College London (KCL), where she obtained an LLB in English and French Law (1st), then at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, where she obtained a Master's degree in French and English Law.
She then completed a Master’s degree in International Private Law and International Business Law at Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. She passed the bar exam in 2011 and completed her final internship in the Litigation Department of the Franco-American law firm SALANS, now DENTONS.
After taking her oath in January 2014, she practiced for five years with a renowned family law firm, where she developed an advisory and litigation practice, mainly on family disputes with an international dimension and cases involving complex liquidations of matrimonial property regimes, before founding LEICK & DARMOIS with Arnaud Leick.
Valentine Darmois was admitted as a “Fellow” of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL), a prestigious international association regrouping the most experienced lawyers in international family law, thus becoming the 19th fellow from France.
She has published numerous case law commentaries in La Gazette du Palais, published by Lextenso.
She gives lectures and leads training courses:
- At the Paris Bar School (EFB), to train future lawyers in international family law;
- At the École Nationale de la Magistrature (ENM), to help train magistrates;
- At the Paris Bar Association's "Family" open commissions, designed to provide ongoing training for Parisian lawyers.
She has been a speaker on several occasions at the États Généraux du droit de la famille, organized by the Conseil National des Barreaux.
Between 2019 and 2022, she took part in the "CLUE" project (Connaître la législation de l'Union Européenne – “Know the legislation of the European Union”), designed to train lawyers, magistrates, notaries and judicial commissioners in the practice of European family law.
In 2023, she co-taught international family law courses at the Université Catholique de Lille.
She is the national contact point, for the legal profession, for the European Civil and Commercial Judicial Network (RJECC), as well as a member of the Institut du Droit de la Famille et du Patrimoine.
ARNAUD LEICK
Arnaud is an attorney at the Paris Bar.
He studied law at the Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, where he obtained a master's degree in "Carrières Judiciaires et Sciences Criminelles" before passing the bar exam.
As part of his professional training, he gained experience in the law firm of Maître Nathalie COUZIGOU-SUHAS, a notary in PARIS, particularly renowned for her know-how in liquidation of matrimonial property issues.
Prior to founding LEICK & DARMOIS, he was a lawyer in a renowned law firm which specialized in domestic and international family law, advising and litigating on both parental authority and property issues.
He has published numerous case law commentaries in La Gazette du Palais, published by Lextenso, and contributed to the Divorce module of DallozPratique[s].
For a number of years, he was a lecturer in criminal family law at the École de formation du Barreau de Paris, where he took part in the training of trainee lawyers.
He was a speaker at the États Généraux du droit de la famille organized by the Conseil National des Barreaux.
SOLÈNE COURGEY
Solène Courgey is an attorney at the Paris Bar.
She holds a Master's I degree in International and European Business Law from the University of Paris-Saclay and a Master's II degree in Private International Law and International Trade from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. Prior to this, she earned a dual degree in Law and English from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin en Yvelines.
After an initial internship at a law firm specialising in family law, Solène Courgey joined the firm LEICK & DARMOIS in January 2023 as a trainee attorney. She has been practicing as an attorney since her swearing-in at the Paris Court of Appeal in February 2024.
She handles cases involving both property-related and non-property aspects of family law, in both French law and with elements of private international law. She speaks, writes, and understands English fluently.
COLOMBE DE LABARRE
Colombe de Labarre is a trainee attorney.
She graduated with a Master's degree in "General Private Law" from the University of Bordeaux and a Master's II degree in "Domestic and European Law of Minors" from the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, specialising in family law, juvenile law, and criminal law.
Before sitting for the bar exam in 2023, she undertook numerous internships, some at judicial bodies, others with a child protection association, as well as a civic service role with the Defender of Rights. Moreover, she completed several internships at law firms specialising in family law, personal rights, and asset management, including multiple stints at the firm LEICK & DARMOIS.
ISIS KORAL
Isis Koral is an attorney at the Paris Bar.
She holds a double degree in French and Common Law and a Master I in Private Law from the University of Paris X Nanterre.
She also holds a Master II in the Practice of Fundamental Rights from the University of Aix-Marseille, where she was class valedictorian and winner of the Lexbase prize.
Her various experiences and internships with law firms, courts and non-governmental organizations have enabled her to strengthen her skills in property law and criminal family law. She was also trained in the liquidation of matrimonial property regimes during an internship with a renowned notary's office. A Franco-American national, she is fluent in English.
She passed the bar exam in 2022 and will be sworn in as a lawyer at the Paris Court of Appeal in the coming months.

He pursued his legal studies at University Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, where he obtained a Master’s degree in « Judicial Careers and Criminal Science » before passing the Bar exam.
During his training, he followed a training contract in Paris-based notary public Nathalie COUZIGOU-SUHAS’s firm, which particularly specializes in liquidation of matrimonial property.
Before founding, with Valentine DARMOIS, the LEICK & DARMOIS law firm, he practised, as an attorney at the Paris Bar, an activity in counsel and litigation, on issues purporting to parental responsibility and custody as well as patrimonial and assets-related issues, in the MULON ASSOCIES law firm.
He is regularly published in specialized family and patrimonial law journals such as the « Gazette du Palais » and « Divorce de DallozPratique[s].».
He is a lecturer at the Paris Bar training school (EFB) on family law-related criminal law, where he trains future attorneys at the Paris Bar.
He gives conferences at the Family Commission of the Paris Bar, on technical issues related to the liquidation of matrimonial property.
